Global Poker’s U.S. Poker Series to Launch on August 21

Global PokerGlobal Poker will host its third U.S. Poker Open series that begins on August 21 and runs through September 3. The online sweepstakes poker site will partner with the PokerGo U.S. Poker Open live series in Las Vegas. The series will feature 64 events. Total guarantees amount to 767,500,000 Gold Coins and 1,515,000 Sweeps Coins, plus lots of extra prizes and merchandise.

The U.S. Poker Open comes after Global Poker recently wrapped up its GOAT V series, with “Narcisprince79” and “Slob On Me Knob” taking home main event wins. 

Each tournament in the series will have a low and a high version. Gold Coin tournaments offer buy-ins of 33,000 and 99,000 coins. Sweeps Coins tournaments will have buy-ins ranging from 33 to 99 coins. Multiple formats are also available, including Super Bounty, Turbo, Super Deep, 6-Max, and 8-Max tournaments.

Leaderboards

The Global Poker U.S. Poker Open will again feature two leaderboards to track player progress throughout the series specific to Gold Coin and Sweeps Coins events, with tons of prizes to be awarded for both. For example, the player who finishes first on the Sweeps Coin leaderboard will receive a $5,000 trip to Las Vegas and a $5,000 check to be presented at the PokerGo Studio at Aria Resort and Casino, along with the winner’s trophy.

Second to tenth-place finishers will win a PokerGo annual subscription and as much as 3,000 Sweeps Coins for future tournament entries.

The player finishing atop the Gold Coins leaderboard at the end of the series gets a special trophy, a series hoodie, and other merchandise. They’ll also have a Golden Scrimmage tournament named after their online Global Poker alias. Players ending the series in second through tenth place on the Gold Coins leaderboard will receive entries to the Golden Scrimmage tournament and series apparel.

Satellites

Global Poker players will have many opportunities to qualify for series events through daily satellite tournaments. These will run from August 21st through September 3rd. Buy-ins range from 5.5  to 16.5 Sweeps Coins for the main event. Players should also watch for reward drops, which they can use to enter these satellites.

Hometown Heroes

All Global Poker Champion Pack winners during the US Poker Open can participate in the Hometown Heroes promotion, where they can win special prizes for showing off their tournament gear and trophy by sharing them on any of Global Poker’s media channels on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Promotion rules can be found on the Hometown Heroes page on the Global Poker website. 

Three New Winner Avatars

This year’s U.S. Poker Open also features three specially-designed Global Poker avatars for players to use during and after the series. Players can purchase the U.S. Poker Open avatar in the Gold Coins store. 

However, only players who win one of the trophy events can access the silver crown winner’s avatar. 

The final new avatar will be a gold crown awarded to the two leaderboard winners to show off their accomplishments while playing online at Global Poker.
