The seventh edition of the Global Poker Eagle Cup series is back, offering 216 events during the three weeks of poker action running from October 23 through November 12. Opening free rolls began on October 22 for anyone with a Global Poker account for a chance to win a share of 953,500,000 Gold Coins and 2,120,000 Sweeps Coins in guaranteed prizes. Players can also climb to the top of the leaderboards for a chance to claim lucrative rewards.
Featured Tournaments
The Global Poker Eagle Cup VII features several special No Limit Texas Hold’em tournaments for the first time, including the inaugural breast cancer awareness tournament on October 23, with all proceeds benefiting the Breast Cancer Foundation. The Totally Terrific Tongue Twister Day Tournament is another event added to the schedule and will take place on November 8.
Top Gold Coins tournaments at Eagle Cup VII include the 99,000 Gold Coin buy-in GPC Eagle 09-H: NLHE GC 32,000,000 Guaranteed on October 29, and the GPC Eagle 31-H: Main Event NLHE GC 40,000,000 Guaranteed, taking place on November 12.
Sweeps Coins tournaments highlighted at Eagle Cup VII are the GPC Eagle 20-H: NLHE SC 110,000 Guaranteed and the CPG Eagle 31-H: Main Event NLHE SC 200,000 Guaranteed, each with a buy-in of 99 Sweeps Coins.
Many other tournaments are featured at Eagle Cup VII, with Gold Coin tournament buy-ins ranging from 3,300 to 99,000 and Sweeps Coins events featuring buy-ins from 3.3 to 99.
Leaderboards
Like all major tournament series at Global Poker, Eagle Cup VII will feature Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins leaderboards, where players who reach the top ten have a chance to earn as much as 5 million Gold Coins. The player at the top of the Sweeps Coins leaderboard at the end of the series will receive a prize package worth $5,000 for an upcoming live poker tournament.
Players who finish in the top ten can also claim many exciting prizes, including an attractive golden eagle trophy. Those at the top of the Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins leaderboards will also receive a Global Poker Champion Pack with exclusive merchandise, including an Eagle Cup VII hoodie, T-shirt, and cap. They’ll also be eligible for the Hometown Heroes promotion, where they can show off their new gear on social media for a chance to win extra prizes.
Celebrity Challenge
Global Poker is currently wrapping up its first Celebrity Challenge series, where players had a chance to play against celebrities Michael Phelps, DJ Khaled, Paul George, and Karl-Anthony Towns. The fourth stage of the series kicked off on October 31, where players can battle online against DJ Khaled.
Players must earn a seat through a series of Sweeps Coins qualifiers to play against the Grammy Award-winning producer to earn a share of the prize pool and exclusive Global Poker merchandise signed by the celebrity himself. The Global Poker Celebrity Challenge will continue running through November 8.
