Two races remain in the Global Poker Grand Prix Turbo Series, which will wrap up at the end of November. Currently the Austin edition is offering three days of action featuring 12 Sweeps Coins and Gold Coin Hyper Turbo tournaments to help players boost themselves to the top of the Seasonal Leaderboards, where they can win some of the many prizes up for grabs. The series launched on October 20 with the Grand Prix Turbo Series 01 Gold Coin and Sweeps Coins events.
The first Grand Prix Turbo Series kicked off with the Miami edition in May. It was followed by the Montreal edition from June 15-18. After Austin there is one more Global Poker Turbo series, the Las Vegas edition, set to occur from November 16-18.
The two main events take place on October 22 with guaranteed prizes of GC 55,000,000 and SC 110,000. Global Poker also has 100 seats available through Saturday and Sunday satellite tournaments.
Players can also win the title of Grand Prix Turbo Series Champion by moving up the Sweeps Coins Season Leaderboard, where the winner will receive the top prize of a trip to Italy for an unforgettable Ferrari racing experience.
Besides the main event’s prize guarantees, players can win their share of GC 25,000,000 and SC 50,000 in additional prizes. Each tournament leading up to the main event carries prize guarantees of 5,000,000 Gold Coins and 10,000 Sweeps Coins.
Exclusive Prizes
Gold Coin event winners and players who make the final table at the Grand Prix Turbo Series not only take a share of the prize pool but will also win exclusive merchandise, including a Turbo Series hoodie, checkered flag, cap, T-shirt, and fuzzy dice. Sweeps Coins event winners will also take home a Global Poker hoodie, cap, and T-shirt.
The final 12 players at each of the Gold Coin and Sweeps Coins main events for the Miami, Montreal, Austin, and Las Vegas series will receive a Grand Prix Turbo Series avatar. Another avatar will be available for non-winners to purchase using Gold Coins.
Celebrity Challenge
Global Poker is also in the middle of its first Celebrity Challenge, where players have a chance to test their skills against NBA stars Paul George and Karl-Anthony Towns, music producer DJ Khaled, and Olympic superstar Michael Phelps. The celebrities play a best-of-three series of heads-up games against each other, with the winner donating $10,000 to the charity of their choice.
Each star will host a Celebrity Challenge Final, with the top player in each qualifier advancing, where they’ll sit down to compete against one celebrity and the other finalists for a spot in the Grand Final. The top four players from the Celebrity Challenge Final will also compete to win a North American Ferrari Race Day experience of their choice.
The next event on the Global Poker calendar is the Eagle Cup VII, from October 23 to November 2. It features 108 Gold Coin and 108 Sweeps Coins events with a guaranteed prize pool of 953,500,000 Gold Coins and 2,100,000 Sweeps Coins.
